What this book is about
As a new model for business we find that Sacred Commerce: Business as a Path of Awakening is more than just a way to care about our customers, business and employees. It’s about how to bring about a better world. This book is the story of the founders of Cafe Gratitude in California. Their mission for founding a new kind of business has created an community within their business. This book offers processes on being in Sacred Commerce including "clearing".

Clearing
Clearing is a process to make people present in the moment. It calls for the person being cleared to get in touch with thoughts and feelings that are keeping them from being present. Then it moves on to creating something new for them and finally concludes with the person doing the clearing acting as a channel for the Divine to acknowledge the person being cleared. It’s a spectacular process which helps people get rid of their "baggage" and be present so they can offer their best self to the world.

My experience
My first experience of clearing was at a workshop facilitated by the authors Matthew and Terces Engelhart in Philadelphia during 2009. We practiced on each other and by the end of the day we had been "cleared" several times. I was glowing after that workshop and remember feeling quite incredible. The best way to be cleared is by another person but you can try to do it yourself by looking in a mirror and playing both clearer and clearee. I haven’t found it to work as well or be as satisfying so I’m trying to find someone to regularly "clear" with.
